A painting reads a poem, a poem draws a painting. A Turkey-based artist, Aya Marray, and a New York writer, Hiroshi Kono, formed a creative art unit “AYA-MARC.” in July 2021 to convey that art gives light and hope. The duo completed their first collaboration “Vibrant Phoenix” (15-piece artwork) in just 19 days and created a modern piece called “IZUMO Shinpa (Izumo New Wave)” which includes a motif based on “Izumo Myths.” Since the two met virtually, they have continued creative activities remotely. However, Aya and Hiroshi will host their first solo exhibition in Izumo and Nagoyaーcities where they grew up respectivelyーthis September. The artistic world, interwoven by a melody of words (poetry) that Kono writes and colors that Aya depicts (paintings), creates a new world (space), as if the horizon that separates the sky and sea is dyed blue.

絵が詩を詠む、詩が絵を描く。トルコ在住のアーティストAYA MARRAYとニューヨーク在住の文筆家・河野洋は、光と希望が感じられるアートを世界に伝えたいという思いから、アート・ユニット「AYA-MARC.」を2021年7月に結成。初のコラボ「飛翔天海 | Vibrant Phoenix」（15作品集）を19日間で完成させると、続く「IZUMO新波」では、出雲神話をモチーフに現代風に創作。2人はバーチャルで出会って以来、全てリモートで創作活動を続けてきたが、本年9月に、それぞれが育った出雲市と名古屋市で、ついに初の個展を開催する。河野が書き下ろす言葉の旋律（詩）とAYAが描く色彩が織りなすアートワールドは、空と海を隔てる水平線が青で染まるように、新しい世界(スペース)を創造する。
